If you want to know, run command prompt by START-RUN and type CMD and press ENTER

Then execute IPCONFIG /DISPLAYDNS, if you want to refresh the dns cache because you are using new internet connection or other thing execute IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS

To show the windows task manager, press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, this is useful when you need to kill or end some application that went hang

If you prefer a syntax to type on run or for creating a shortcut use START-RUN type TASKMGR and press ENTER

Sometime old application that still using 16 bit coding will freeze windows, search for WOWEXEC in task manager to find whether a 16 bit applications are running

When I need to set some DHCP setting, I need to find information about my network card’s MAC Address, here is maybe a simpler way.

Open command prompt by running START-RUN type CMD and press ENTER

Then run syntax : ipconfig /all

I have a sudden error in my windows XP and need some checkfor all driver installed, there is an application for this, to run it simply press START-RUN then type VERIFIER then press ENTER
